Bite is not very good from my couch, next to the air register.
Wife wont let me go fishing in this Heat.
I just wondered how you guys were catching Crappie in this Heat?
Crappie up hi in the evening and down lo in the Hi Sun?
Using flies, worms or Shad n' Jigs?
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

we had 17 keepers last friday between 12 noon and 4:30, the fish were suspended in 8-9ft of water and our boat was anchored in 30-40 feet of water. the main key to our fish was shade, the shade was 3-4 degrees cooler, we really didnt expect to catch any honestly, so it was a surprise and anything over 8 inches from the shade they would not touch
TOO MANY FILLETS IN THE FREEZE TO BRAVE THIS HEAT ! WORKED TO MANY YEARS TO RETIRE TO BLOW IT ON A DAY LIKE TODAY . WILL LET THE YOUNG ONES HAVE IT !
I caught a limit yesterday jiggin . I was field testing jigs for Crappie Logic which is on here. Also culled out a limit of Catfish on my baited hole.

I'm glad there's some other sensible guys out there. The rest of them went out in the mid-day sun with the Mad Dogs n' Englishmen.
Going out at night is a nice sounding option.

Same here. I never want to repeat that experience.
Play it safe guys. 98 here in Minneapolis this afternoon, with an air quality advisory through Thursday. Just thankful not to have to deal with this without electricity like those folks in Ohio and through that area did all weekend and some not even scheduled to be back up until a week from now. Besides AC that is a real long time to be without refrigerated food.
I think I'll put off fishing myself for a few days.
Truck thermometer read 100 degrees when I left work, in downtown Minneapolis today. 100 degrees when I got home, which is a drive from the metro. Plenty hot for the northland. Too hot for me to fish, in the middle of the day.
