    Question Too Hot For Crappie?

It got up to 105f yesterday and suppose to get up to 108f today.
We're going fishing very early on Oconee Sunday morning.
I was just wondering. Is it too hot for Crappie Fishing?
Where will they be, what will they hit?

That's when they bite the best. Read some of the reports in the Missouri forum.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

you can always filet one up and throw it on a stainless seat mount plate. food on the go. turn that trolling motor up to high and call it fast food.

    Too hot to fish? Probably
Too hot or cold to catch fish? Never

Fish are like you and I, they usually want a meal on a daily basis.

It's not too hot to catch fish, but it's too hot for me to fish.

Sure you can catch crappie no matter how hot it is. As far as it being the best time to catch crappie, not in my book. For me, it's never to cold to fish however. I don't fish if the tempature is above 85. Takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it when the sweat is burning your eyes.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

May get too hot for you but Crappie bite is awsome at times in the midday heat! Just ask Supergooser , Ski Trip, and a few others that fished with me last summer. I catch them on jigs on this lake fairly shallow in heat extremes as oxygen and bait fish are better in shallows. Sometimes they suspend over shallow drops or get tight to cover and bite like mad after it gets hot! These shallow dingy lakes can be awsome if you can stand the heat!
Donald at Crappie Logic Custom Jigs just sent me a sample pack to test. They look so good I may have to slip out and test them in this heat.

Here is a photo from last summer with temps over 100. I took Ski Trip jig fishing till we gave out from the heat. The hotter it got the better they seem to bite.
