Generally, around these parts, turnover occurs in the Fall. We do have the occasional Spring turnover, but conditions have to be a bit screwy for that to happen ... like a late cold spell, after a early warm up.

We had something happen, not sure if it was a turn over a couple weeks ago. Had a strong east wind for over 2 weeks , hot and dry. A bunch of dead fish showed up floating all over the lake and water turned nasty. AGFC biologists said fish were fine just water quaility was poor? Sounded like a turn over cause water turned nasty looking about the time fish floated up. Odd thing is we never stopped catching fish. I think it effected the east end where it was deepest near the dam, wind could have blown dead fish to this end?
