Default Tried The New Mr Crappie Line

Spooled up some of the new Mr Crappie line in 8lb. Not made by the same folks who used to make it. First thing I noticed was how limp it was spooling. I really liked it. I can't give an accurate comparison as to knot strengh since I use a loop knot and any line will break easier on a loop than a tight one. Also like that it comes in a 500 yard spool.

Gotta disagree with 'ya on this one Sandwich. On your advice I did buy 2 of the WM Sig Series Spinning reels, and they come loaded with 4lb Mr Crappie Mono. It's junk and getting stripped-off and replaced. It's got the memory of a Slinky. I'm not displeased, love the reel, but would rather have gotten it empty and spooled it myself, would have saved me cussing on the water today.

Don't know who makes the new line for Wally; however, he did tell a small group of people which I happened to be with, that Suffix made his old line. I like that line and have quite a bit of the 6 lb left. In fact I have not used any other line for over four years now. It would be interesting to know who makes the new line.

It does have a Made in China sticker on the spool. It also has DD Outdoors Springfield MO. on the box.

I haven't tried the Mr Crappie 8 lb, but I love the Mr Crappie 6 lb test...I tried the 4 lb but wasn't very impressed with it.

I used the 6# Hi-Vis for a couple years. I thought it was alright. I'm now using Vicious and aint quite sure which I'll be using in the future but it'll be one of the two.

Everything I have is spooled with 6# hi-viz Mr. Crappie. So far, like it a lot.
If China is making it now, it ain't on my box now........I'll find something else to
    spool on the reels.
