Welcome from Mississippi.
Hi all,
new here....well...been a lurker for a while and thought i,d chime in.
Been in Canada 5 years, from England, moved here to be on the Lake and fish and share the outdoors life with our young son...get him away from the city in his formative years.
Originally a sea fisherman in England...but i've loved fishing from as early as i can remember.
Here in Canada (Northwest Ontario) i fish walleye, bass, pike, musky, and Crappie, whitefish and lakers.
Just recently (a couple years now) found crappie in my local lake and love targeting them during the walleye close season.
Loving the site...lots of helpful tips for a newb.
Cheers
Simon

Welcome from SC.
I am heading to Ontario in June to camp on an island in a lake near Ignace, Ont. Will be my first trip into the uninhabited area and 1st tent camping in a number of years. My friends that I am going with tells me it is nothing to catch 100 walleye a day . Hope I don't jinx the trip, but they have been going for a number of years and know what they are doing.
Do you think the lake (Kukukus) we are going to would have crappie? Never thought about fishing for them on this trip.
Again, Welcome aboard.

Thanks for the welcome folks.
SeaRay.....i would have to say no. I am not really familiar with that lake but did some searching online for Kukukus and could not find a mention of Crappie. Thats not to say its impossible...just improbable.
I did find a couple of useful resources you might like
