Just a quick note to let anyone that's interested on what the happenings are here on the Big South Fork.

Crappie have been in pre-spawn feeding mode for past few weeks. Now, they are actually spawning. Have been catching numerous fish, 100+ with 20-30 keepers each trip. Keepers ( EATERS) have to be 10" inches here on Lake Cumberland. These past 4-5 days has seen a dramatic decrease in both numbers caught and keepers. Averaging 30-40 per trip with keepers in the low double numbers.....Fish finder is showing lots of fish holding in the cover but not much biting activity, I do believe they are spawning presently and I"m looking forward to the post spawn feeding frenzie!!!!:D

Water temp is 69-72 degrees. Water level is perfect as lots of cover for spawn.

Hope everyone catches their limit and enjoys the time spent on the water.
