I used these sharpeners for years in my Subways to sharpen our bread knifes(serrated blades) and after a little practice I found they do a really good job on electric blades. Read instructions for serrated, uses different side from straight. edge blades.

neet,,, I use a small round file on mine, works pretty good

I use edgemaker on all my knives. It does a great job, but I've got all four grades (coarse to fine hone). The coarsest is used only when you need to put a completely new edge of knife (rare). But the finest is to put a final hone on the knife and I think that one is indispensable.

I think the one available on ebay has the two middle grades.
