that thing is to pretty to slime up.
That is way to pretty to be Layin round my boat waiting to get broke
It is a St Croix SCV, American Tackle GTRL guides, wood burl grips that I glued some walnut and knife scale laminate and then turned on a lathe. The rod is 7', med power, fast action. The box is your basic pine, with accents from Menards. Dove tail joints, and I flocked the inside. It was built to fish for walleye up in Canada. The guy flies in, thats why its a two-piece. The box is so he can display it at home on a fireplace mantle. I charged $500.00 for all.

Looks like it was a retirement gift. I'd like one myself.

Thanks for the offer, I getting my stuff from Mud Hole right now and really didn't know about American Tackle. I do it mostly as a hobby and therapy as it keeps my mind from going places I don't it want to go with my PTSD an I sell mine at cost. I built my first two for me and just sold my first this morning, a 7' one piece UL and I'm working on a 5' UL for another person right now.
I'm going to order a catalog from them.
