    Default Fall water temp?

The water temp here at Pickwick yesterday was 63 degrees. So should the fish be moving shallow or deep? Thinking about hitting the tree tops in the am. Or would I be better off to fish the walls of the dam and lock?

Also the flood gates are open so the water will be rising.

    Default My 2 cents...

Never fished there but my guess would be that they're moving into shallower water. After the lake level stablizes the bite may be better also. Good luck, give us a report after you go.

61 degrees here late yesterday afternoon. Lots of people say the magic number is 55 degrees. Talking about water temperature here. They will be shallow then as in the spring. Then as the temp continues to fall, they will move back out into deeper water for the spring.

Thanks fatboy. That will help me out a lot. I plan on trying to catch a few starting next week.
I see your east of me. How is the fishing over that way?
