    Default Crappie boat improvements

Just thought I would post some pictures of the new improvements to my boat in hopes that it will motivate others to do similar things. I got tired of buying new batteries for my minnow bucket all the time, so I installed a 12v socket up front and spliced it into the wiring for my bow light. Now I can use the 12v adapter that came with my frabil pump, and don't have to be concerned about batteries. Also put a cover over the pump switch so it doesn't get bumped by toes, and turned off.Name: new 12v socket.jpg

Size: 50.1 KB I was also tired of lifting a wooden bench in and out of the boat so we could sit close enough to the rod holders, so I removed my front deck and installed three seat sockets across the front. also added a holder on each side for when baiting rods.Name: new seat bases.jpg

Size: 89.2 KB Next was to add a rod rack for transporting rods, have already had one rod tip broken from rods laying on the deck. The bases used for the rod rack and sonar are from Home Depot and Lowes and are for the porch railings they sell. The 1 1/4 square stock drops in and tightens with two set screws.Name: rod rack base.jpg

Size: 57.3 KBThe rod rack can hold 16 rods. I also added a holder for my net, so it can be easily reached without getting up, and the cooler sits right in front of it. Name: net holer pin.jpg

Size: 92.8 KBThe tee bar rod holder is made from 3/4 in pipe and drops into a piece of conduit on a floor flange and pins in place. Everything is real stable, and all are easily removed so the boat cover can go back on.Name: tee bar base.jpg

Very nice forethought, innovation, planning and execution there waterboy1. You have a very nice looking rig and I'm sure the
improvements are going to make a whole lot of difference (both) for usability and convenience.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the quality of the finished product.
