I'm wondering if it's a white crappie that has been in deep water close to the bottom?
Caught this one on the TN River below Pickwick, Never seen anything like it. It was white with a yellow hue, yellow fins and tail, and not a spot or speck on it.

how was the fishing there?

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Its a White. Just check your states fisheries biological office for fish identification tools. If ever your wondering that is what they are there for, and most of them are more than happy to talk species identification with you, or at least most of them that I know do. If you need more information just let me know I can get you whatever you need.
Don't think it's a white. It has the compact body and smaller mouth of a black. Picture two has the fish held up next to a similar size white crappie. Either way this is not normal coloration for a white or black crappie. Does anyone have an explanation for the lack of normal spots, vertical lines, etc?
According to the number of dorsal fin spikes ... it's a White Crappie.
I have caught Crappie from cold, shaded, murky waters ... that didn't show much in the way of any black coloration or markings, and did have somewhat of a yellow tinge to them.
I do notice some rudimentary spots on the fins/tail of the "yellow" one ... as well as somewhat of a faded black spot on the gill plate (as in a White Crappie).
Back in 2006, we had a post that had a picture of a fish similar to yours. They called it a "Golden Crappie". It came out of Kerr Reservoir. Unfortunately, the member that posted the link has not posted since Mar 2010 ... and the link in the post is now dead.

It's an albino. Never seen one in the crappie family but every species on earth has them from time to time. I'd have that mounted. We may never get a chance to see another one in our lifetime.
I'd guess it's a white also.
To me it looks like a cross between a white and a largemouth, although thats probably not possible.
