    Default Fishing with My Wife

My wife and I went fishing Tuesday. One of the few nice days around here. We hit them pretty good. In 2.5 hours we had more than 40 crappie. We throw them all back - we just like the catching. One day we will keep a few. The fish my wife is holding was 15" - that was the biggest, but we had lots 12 and 13". Not many small ones - most were around 10". Caught them in 14' of stained water using a Charlie Brewer Slider grub with the paddle tail. We cast to the bank, and slowly dragged back to the boat. A very fun day!

Sam ... if I had to guess, I'd say you were picking them up on the ends of those blowdowns showing in your pics .... right And from the looks of them, probably from the shaded areas, too (or perhaps it's just the off colored water that has them looking "washed out" in their coloration).

Nice looking fish .... good for you & the Mrs Thumbs Up
