    Default Trying to locate 'CanePole'

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong forum but, I'm trying to locate a guy that goes by 'canepole' on here. I understand he has a device
that allows a wireless foot control for the Minn Kota Powerdrive V2 iPilot trolling motor. I fish only crappie and mostly from condos and
brush piles. I have to stay on top of them to catch fish and thought the iPilot was perfect for this. Well, it would be if it worked as advertised.
It doesn't! You are lucky to be able to stay within a 50' radius of a marker bouy instead of the 5' advertised. And that is on a good day.
So, after I found this out and had my brand new MK electronics replaced and still had the exact same problem, I saw a wireless foot control
advertised by MK and ordered it. It clearly had huge writing on the package 'for the PowerDrive V2' so I eagerly awaited its arrival. I immediately
tried to hook it up only to learn it does NOT work on the PowerDrive V2 and never will.
This was info from the factory so I know it is correct. Got my money back but, I'm no better off than when I had my old trolling motor that was hundreds of bucks less expensive and nothing wrong with it.
Now I hear that a guy on this forum that goes by Canepole has built a wireless foot control that will work on the PowerDrive V2 and I want one!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And again, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.

He posted a thread a few months back with the plans for the setup that you seek. It's not hard or expensive, but Tom is as sharp as they come and I'm sure he'll get you fixed up one way or the other. You might find the post in the electronics and trolling motor section. Good luck and tight lines.
