    Default Just giddy here!

I'm new to crappie fishing - tried it occasionally without much luck. Basically caught them 4 times ever. BUT today I caught the first river crappie of my life! There is a river that runs through town, and is heavily overfished. I managed to locate the crappie and had lots of bites! Here are the first two I landed. They were on a spinnerbait with a little charteuse / sparkle tube on it.

Had one gal try to grab my pole 2x, she also grabbed my fish when I was trying to unhook him... I had to get mad at her to get her to leave me alone - WHY do I seem to find the crazy ones?!?!

Before I left, a young kid was asking to trade me a lure in his box for the spinnerbait. I gave it to him with some extra tube bodies. I have a hard enough time finding small spinners, I'm pretty sure he'd never locate them

I don't care what happens the rest of the day, I caught some crappie!!

Congrads on the fish. It is always a good feeling to accomplish something that you set as a goal for yourself. EB
