Do any of you have one of these and are they as good as advertised?

It is a pain to have to take everything out of your truck every night and then set up the tent to go to sleep. They do work, but for me a better option is a campertop and build an elevated platform for the bed (and you can store stuff underneath). The platform can be moved in and out of the truck as need be.

Or better yet,,just pitch a tent anywhere you want,,,I have 3,,one for a base camp,,that weights about 6lbs, 2 for backpacking,,one weighs 3lbs for 2 people,,other is a bug net 2 person tent,,if its going to rain,,throw a silnylon tarp I had made which also weighs only 1 lb,,granted,,all special made equipment for light weightness,,but very comfy and can pack anywhere anytime.

I really like the one i have. I try to stay at parks that have a ramp. I can leave it up while launching. If no ramp, it will lift out of the bed then u just stake it out like a regular tent. I don't think i would want to spend a week in one but for a few days, i like . At times being up off the ground has benefits.

I have a Eagles Nest camping hammock that is easy to put up and take down. I have an 12X12 rain fly that works quite well for rain protection. You will find these camping hammocks sleep as good as the bed in your house. It is off the ground and can be set up in about 3 minutes and taken down in less than that and it never has to touch the ground.

Thanks for the reviews and alternatives. Would be using the tent for trips of 1 to 2 night stays. I could see where it would be a hassle to take it down in the mornings and put back up at night but not much for sleeping on the ground either. (Old Bones) (:
