Any suggestions? Already have some road runners, what else? What are your favorites?
If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?

I use mostly plastic bodies like Yum Beavertails and Bobby Garland Slab Slayers. I buy jig heads by bulk off of ebay and paint them myself plus I also keep on hand some jig heads from CrappiePro.com. I like their painted jig heads, especially because of their black chrome hooks they use. Very sharp, very strong.
SatDoc, those are some good looking Road Runners...err...or are they Sickle Runners?

This is the first year I have tried pink, but I have had a lot of luck with it, I have been using Strike King's new Rage Tail crappie grubs, which often seem to out fish others. Many of the pro guides, as I understand it, use a lot of Southern Pro tubes, grubs, etc . They claim SP lures are soft, and that the fish prefer that. They are also very inexpensive and are made in the USA. I have a big order in for some of them.
Michael the crappie pro at the Cincinnati Bass Pro Shop likes tubes. If memory serves he uses Chartreuse, Blue and White, Black and Chartreuse, and Red and White, as his primary go to colors. He uses tube jigs, which fit inside the tube, and Berkly Crappie Nibbles inside the tubes. I think I have left out one of his primary color combinations though. For me, the Pink/Chartreuse Strike King grub with a RoadRunner head is now my very first go to color/lure. Of course I would be fine with satdoc1's sickle hook RR alike jig heads too! After that, I tend to agree with Michael.
In the last week I caught a s.m. bass and a 9" crappie on a Bubblegum "pink" 1.5 Strike King hard bait. The bass was 1/2" under the 12 inch limit, but the crappie was a keeper. I have 2 or 3 other pink hard baits, I just happened to have the Strike King handy, I would suspect they would have hit any of them.
I nearly forgot, I believe Capps and Coleman (sp?) use Lime green/Chartreuse as their go to. Lime is also called John Deere, or at least it's close enough.

look in the DIY plastics forum. It is a bait made by Snake River. Go to the forum and
Google icicle. It resembles a leech in profile but is only 2 inches long.
This is an icicle.
