    Default Another Dollar Store Treasure

I bought one of those squooshy play balls with the little legs sticking out all over and have been using the legs for trailers on ultralite jigs. The one I have now is bald as I've clipped off all the legs and ended up with 320 dynamite stinger type trailers.....extremely flexible and only a buck.

The additional good news is the colors available include a hot pink ball and one that is a yellowish chartreuse.

Each leg is about 3/4 inch long, but is flexible enough to stretch to a length over 4 inches. I'm recommending a dollar store ball as the ones at other places are much more expensive. The jigs I tie are a multi species jigs and catch largemouth, smallmouth, rainbow trout, bream and crappie.

Cool! Thanks for the info, I have a Dollar Store within sight of the office. What do your jigs look like? could you throw up a couple of pictures and what materials (if not obvious)?

I have used those little appendage before as jig trailers. They are indeed very flexible, durable and most of all bright fish catching colors especially the Orange or chartreuse.

These are the balls macon123 is talking about. I have also used them as legs for flys. They work great.
