Here's two to try: a beadhead woolly bugger and a Clouser minnow.

The bugger is basically a light marabou jig. As a matter of fact, you might just try casting some really light jigs. Bass Pro sells some 1/80 and 1/128 oz. jigs that can be cast on a fly rod.

The Clouser is a weighted baitfish imitation that's tied with bucktail. These two flies are very popular, so it should be easy to find tying instructions.

    Thumbs up

litebite, I don't know how to do the link thing, so Google up Crappie Candy. It's a Clouser pattern that is a fun tie. Chartuse yarn or embrodery thread would work good for the body. Mike

I use the 1/80 oz. jig head with a 1" tube. Works for me.
