Default Crappie just aren't very big

I have been catching 6 or 7 inch crappie out of my pond, but that's it. none any bigger. does the amount of fish have to do with the size of fish?

I've read many times that crappie can over populate a pond and it will stunt their growth. If youre catching ALOT of 6 and 7 inchers I'd be taking them out of the pond. Reduce the numbers and the size might improve.

Cook them any way you can and you can decide how you want to do it in the future. Sounds like they may be stunted, keep a bunch for the next couple years and your size will probably increase.

If your pond is only 1.5 deep. Your not likely to see big crappie in it ever. How cold does it get in the winter time were you live?
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

sounds like they are stunted. Do you know what other fish are in the pond to eat the craapies. There should be something in there to keep them in check.
