Seeing is believing!. A friend e-mailed a link to Aqua View perch fishing and I couldn't get over the sequence of getting a fish interested to getting it to bite. Plus, once one fish became agressive, more perch entered the picture and became aggressively competitive, kind of like a school of sharks after chum is dumped.
I think the bait was a salted minnow and allowed to sit on a silty bottom. Once hopped a few inches, perch would attack it on the bottom or on the fall. I believe crappie and most species follow the same sequence even if neutral active and that imparted action can make all the difference.
Amazing stuff!
My point is that seeing different colored lures and lure designs catch fish, forces one to change one's mindset and consider different ideas by association. Plastics are the easiest to make and design yourself, just remember to take notes!
Everyone have a good Thanksgiving.
