I thought the record was 26# caught at Pomona years ago but maybe I heard wrong and at any rate that's a huge fish, thanks for the update.
A new state record wiper was caught today at perry spillway. 25lbs not sure of the ounces. Was weighed at bait hut with biologist present to confirm.

Nice.............I had to google "wiper" because I had never heard of it.....found out it is the same fish that is called a "hybrid" here in GA.........fun to catch but GA quit stocking them and went to just stripers..........bad choice.........black crappie populations have really changed since the change........unsure why but timing is showing.....white crappie seem to be increasing in numbers but not size.............maybe GA will go back to "wipers"!
