Default We had us a time

I scrounged the kids a rod and reel for each of them so they could use the same thing each time and learn a bit better. Today was the presentation and break in day. About 3 dozen minnows and a spot that we knew held fish was the menu, and it didn't disappoint. Both of the kids put fish in the well and threw back some shorts, they even let John and I catch a couple. Good trip, only one of them fell in while excitement was high fighting a fish. I think the old folks are gonna fish by themselves once or twice before we do this again. Munchkins are intense! 9 fish went to swim in the Crisco, a couple of em were well over 12". Done by 9:30 and headed home with smiles all around. Here's a pic taken at the ramp. Thanx for lookin.

Sounds great and reminds me of when my boys were about 10 or 11 and took them bass fishing here on T-Bend chasing schooling bass. Had a kick then, but things really got going when I moved down to Corpus and got in them bays after red fish and then they had some awesome times fishing. My oldest got the biggest back then at about 35" Red and over size to keep. man that was the hardest fish I even turned back.

You done good Skeet and they will remember that for life.

Gotta love it when you see pictures of the kids with ear to ear grins and holding fish.

Callshy, you let me know in advance and I'll make the time to put you on em best I can. My schedule is crazy but I can probably make it happen. This spring and summer have been very good to me. Water temp was 87 today so it wont be long til they go to the deep ledges. And just so y'all know, That's Motorhead and his kids in the pic, I was driving the camera. Another great morning.........
