    Default Catfish Mystery!

Out crappie and cat fishing yesterday with Rigrunner, son-in-law, grandson and great granddaughter on Fort Cobb. After catching a few crappie we caught some catfish by trolling on the dam. On one pass we saw what we thought was a large, dead catfish - belly up but then it moved so we turned the boat around and saw the strangest sight. There were two, 6# blue catfish- the same size and they were joined at the mouth just laying on top of the water. Grandson Kelton grabbed a large net and got them both mostly into it and pulled them aboard with some help from Rigrunner. We were all astounded to see this-a first for all of us. Five year old granddaughter Kendi said they were "making out". We need to talk to her mom. Both fish separated when they were netted. Can anyone explain this odd behavior?

Nice Cats....maybe they had been in a fight, both worn out and neither one wanting to give the other a break.

Probably males fighting over a good spawning area, we used to catch alot of males here that were all beat and bruised up that were in fights over the females.

Maybe they were trying to eat each other at the exact same time. Hungry suckers.
