Default Looking for nightstalk near Winder/Athens with a tiny boat

I'm having a tough time finding locations to take my little 10' Sevylor Fish Hunter rubber raft for night fishing. I've got a decent setup, as far as inflatables go, with trolling motor, lights and sufficient equipment for a small scale night stalk. I'm saving money to upgrade to a jon boat in a couple months.

I'd love to try the local spots like bear creek resevoir, sandy creek, yargo etc... but they don't allow night access. I'm going to try a private lake that I have access to tonight, but I don't expect much success there.

Any suggestions? I'd like to stay within an hour drive.

    Thanks!

None that I know of but would be nice to find out for sure. Im in Braselton and usually end up going to Lanier for my night fishing fix.

AAR: Caught exaclty one crappie in the deepest part of the 15-20 acre lake (6 ft.).

Not gonna try a nighter again till i get a bigger boat and take it to oconee or lanier.

i live in l'ville and i use to take my little 11 ft jon boat at night and put in at toto creek on lanier and tie up inder the bridge. you could do that cause all i had was a trolling motor and it got me to the bridge and back at nite with no problems.
aint no traffic at nite up there.

Very true. Lanier is very calm at night. Couple of places where you can put in and fish just a few feet from the boat ramp too.

You've got me interested. I'll pick up a map of lanier this week.

I'm probably going to try Jackson this weekend.
