Lights when using Generators

what's your pleasure? Clamping globe lights or long florescents like in a office setting? Thinking of buying a Honda generator to have power on the boat and to run lights to draw in crappies at night. Please chime in ?

Lots of noise and exhaust fumes!... and on those windless summer nights you're liable to make yourself sick.

Having said that, there are people that do it... and I've seen it done, but mainly for Striper fishing.

Fishing well lit docks is my preference for night fishing, the dock owners are in bed or watching tv... it's quiet, and you can find some docks that'll hold a ton of fish at night. The ones with the "street" lights on the end are best for me, there's usually a man made brush pile underneath the light.

i have fog lights i put on the clamps that on rod holders...i put them down the side shining on the water and run two green under water lights....they all have cig. light plugs on them that i plug in to the boat...(got 6 plug ins down the side)

You may want to investigate a converter. My buddy is strictly a night fisherman. He has a couple dedicated batteries to run his converters. He bought the clamp on reflectors at Lowe's and uses some of the new low current spot bulbs in them. He also pulled wires and mounted electrical waterproff outlets at various points on his boat so that there are no wires running around the boat to potentially trip over. It is really convenient and easy to use.
