Well went again to Blackshear and fished for about 5 hrs. Caught 25 kept 15. I noticed a lot of the crappie fishing was going on at the trestle but only saw a few fish being pulled out. Acid rain was the color of choice today with a red 1/8 oz. jig head, trolling @ .9 mph in 23 ft. of water. If you can find a drop off from 10 -12 ft down to 23 ft. and can keep the jigs right on the edge then you will end up with some good crappies. Just because it is summertime those crappies are still hungry and some winter patterns are still working.
Thanks for the report jack. I haven't been in awhile, but planning to go this week.
