    What are your favorite ways to use skips .Also what about freezing ?

    fresh...when you catch them put them in a freezer bag and put them on ice....dont put them directly on the ice, place them in the baggy then on the ice....freezing ok...but myself i dont freeze them...seems like when thawed they are mushy sorta.....just my 2 cents

    Jason your 2 cents is worth more then 2 cents! lol Jason is right I use mine fresh and whole some times cutting them to bleed a little but if I have some left over I wrap them up in news paper an keep them on Ice!

    alot of people also mistake the american shad as skip jack also....i bet 75 percent of ppl here in WV do it.....when on the spawning run the american shad will nail jigs also, myself pink head and white 2 inch curly tail.

    We have both at the spillway ! more shad then skipjack lol !

    we be gettiing some off them and do some catfishing rob...right now the bigguns are spawning in about 3 wks we will get a bucket or a cooler full and me and sid will show you some catfishing...or me be the other way around you show us lol...

    LOL tell me when brother. there is one Ive hooked a couple of times below the spillway down that path I know he's big I've had him up to the bank an he jumped off, guess i'm gonna switch to circle hooks and see if that will work.

    id use a 4/0 with a gill head from a 4 inch bluegill though the eyes and target him late evening maybe early morning...Flat or channel???
