If so I was wondering what is a good inexpensive 22 pistol to use for plinking? If we can't please delete this.

I have a Ruger Single Six...........its a single action revolver, perfect for plinking, nice weight/balance to it.....has an interchangeable cylinder for .22 Mag, not sure about the price because I bought it probably 25 years ago but they do still make them
I can only wish to be as good as my dog thinks I am

Mount a scope on either of the above mentioned weapons and you really have good shooters. Don't site in the 22 convertable with the long rifle shells then try shooting the 22 magnum shell for accuracy. lol I did that when they first came out and wondered why I wasn't hitting what I was shooting. I have had both of those weapons and highly reccommend either. Caution on dry fireing the Ruger though, it will ding the bore and cause loading problems eventually but is fixable. Ferdi aka Fred

Steve, I don't think there is any problem with our discussing guns on here... unless the White House finds out... OOPS!, that's a political comment, isn't it... THAT'S what we can't discuss on here... my bad!!! :D:D:D I just couldn't resist!!!

I have shot a couple different browning automatic 22 pistols, tons of fun to shoot, and accurate too. I plan on buying 1, if I could just quit buying fishing stuff.

    Talking My plinker pistol ....

    Colt Huntsman 22cal LR Semi-auto ... 10 shot/clip

I've had it since the early 70's. Bought it off a friend that no longer wanted it, & paid $25 for it & holster. It's now a collector's item, and sells for $400-600+ (depending on condition).
