Default What Not To Eat On Newyears Day

I know we all know what to eat but i cant say i ever thought much about !
WHAT NOT TO EAT. In addition to the aforementioned lucky foods, there are also a few to avoid. Lobster, for instance, is a bad idea because they move backwards and could therefore lead to setbacks. Chicken is also discouraged because the bird scratches backwards, which could cause regret or dwelling on the past. Another theory warns against eating any winged fowl because good luck could fly away.

You know, my Grandma always made it clear what we HAD to eat on New Year's but I don't remember her talking about what not to eat. That's interesting. I've got our meal planned and ready - hog jowl, blackeyed peas, cabbage and corn bread, yum!

A crawfish boil might not be a good thing to have on New Years Day either!
