    Default Neely Henry Crappie

Fishing has been good on Neely Henry for the last 3 days. We fished from the Southside bridge to the dam, and caught fish almost everywhere we stopped. Some place's the fish were deep, 10-15 feet, and some place's they were shallow, 2-4 feet. We tried minnows a few times, but could not get a bite, we did get lot's of bites on a 1/8 oz black and chartrose jig. We tried other colors but this was the best for us. Also we could not exactly put a pattern on the fish, but we did notice early they seemed to be deep and shallow in the afternoon. In the 3 days we fished we put 55-60 n the freezer and had a fish fry on Thursday night. Over 3/4 of the fish were 11-12 inches the others were 9-10 inches.
