    Thumbs up Lake Eufaula

My partner and I caught 11 nice crappie and 15 channel cats last Thursday drifting the lake with minnows. We launched at White Oak Creek boat ramp. We were fishing in water 26-30 feet with a nice slow drift. Caught all of our fish about six feet off the bottom. It was a blast especially with the catfish bending our rods over double when they decided to hit. Glad we had strong rod holders! Water temp. was a nice 67 degrees with a nice breeze. Hope this helps any angler fishing this lake.

After going to Oconee this week, I plan on heading to Eufaula. I want to fish all that timber I fished as a teen.
I live 45 minutes above the lake. Not even that far if I launch in Columbus

Let us know if you have any luck at Lake Eufaula on your next trip. I'm about 55 miles from Lake Eufaula, but it's definitely worth the drive. I plan on fishing at night one day this week and will post my results.

    Oldred,
I spend about a week at White Oak Creek Campground every year in April. We usually fish either White Oak Creek or across the lake in Moccasin Creek. I have always wondered how the crappe would be ths time of year. What side of the bridge were you fishing?
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

    Angry too cold in maryland

Hi, i live at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland. I'm originally from Headland and we had a cabin on some land at WHite Oak Creek that we bought from Bobby Knowles, years ago. Trying to find out if the crappie are starting to bite under the bridges at night. Need to make a trip down to the sausage house with my brothers and fish some. Grizzly
