just got a new triton redfish 1860 aluminum boat, installed Hbird dfinder and transducer according to instructions with unit. Working fine but the transducer causes a huge rooster tail when motoring down lake. Question is transducer to high or to low? Depth indicator works ok in spite of this except at fastest speeds: thanks for your help

I could be wrong but it sounds like it's too high. Mine is mounted at the bottom of the stern almost level with the bottom of the boat..
