Thumbs up 'New to me' tow vehicle.

This morning I was able, believe it or not,to trade in my old tow vehicle for a
newer one,...but NOT brand new by any means. It is a 2003 Chevy Silverado
2WD long bed 'Base model' 1500 pick-up. It has the smaller Vortec 4800 4.8L
V8 and automatic transmission. It has a tow package, too. It has a 'Jason' hard
bed cover which is lockable. It has cruise control,a/c,am/fm stereo radio, and
tilt wheel. No power locks or windows, though. It is a reg. cab truck with less
than 60,000 miles. And payments,...affordable at only $260.00 a month. Not
going to go into the rest of the money details,though,...that is private info!
Anyway,...it's going to make a good fishing and camping truck. It's white in
    color.

The old tow vehicle was just getting lots of miles on it,...180,880 to be exact,
and the fact it was a regular car. I think towing the boat with it was just starting to take it's toll on a car with that many miles on it,...worn suspension
that was just going to cost way more than the car was going to be worth to
fix. I was very surprised I got $700.00 trade on it towards the truck! The car was a 1996 Buick Regal GS Sedan,if that tells you anything. It ran okay, but
towing a boat with a car having that many miles on it and the fact that the
suspension was starting to go,...well,...you can probably figure out why I felt it was time for the car to go.

Sounds like you got a serious upgrade for your tow vehicle.

    Congrats.

I think you're going to really like to tow with a truck as opposed to a car. Makes all the difference in the world.
Quit complaining about the color, just pull up your skirt and fish! -- snagged

You're not kidding one bit. I towed the boat from Marion to Bluffton this afternoon,...and man what a difference towing with a truck makes. So much
    nicer!
