I hear folks all the time saying buy fresh line. The thing is...who knows how old the line is that you buy at the store...it could have been sitting in a warehouse for months or a year or whatever before that store gets it. I buy line on sale and stock up with it...but as sunlight is the number one destroyer of fishing line...I store it where sunlight cannot get to it. I also store it inside the house where the temp is controled so it gets neither real cold or hot. I have never had a problem with it.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I too stock up when it is on sale. I have not had any problems using line that is a year or so old. I keep mine inside the house as well.

Flourocarbon is not affected by heat and light the way mono is. I'd get it while the getting is good!

And mono will last for ages as long as you keep it out of heat and light.

Yep, just keep it cool and out of the sun and it should be fine.

Don't leave it in your hot/cold garage and don't leave it in the sunlight and you'll be fine. A cool closet works great.
