Had a great fishing day yesterday (Sat.) at a local water shed lake. It took me a little while to find them, matter of fact it was the last place I knew to try was about to give-up. They were stacked over a sunken brush top and all around it. The top is in about 8ft of water but around it drops off into 12-14ft of water. Used minnows and nibbles caught about the same on both keep 30 all 11-12 inchs threw back no telling how many. They sure were in a fighting mood and some kind of fun to catch! These small water shed lake are alot of times over looked for crappie fishing however I fish alot of them this time a year due to the fact larger lakes are in fall draw down. The monster crappie may not be in them number wise but the lakes I fish have good quality size fish and of course alot of dinks due to the fact they are not being caught out regularly like a sardis or enid.
