Default Cool water means hot Crappie action.

Here on Nimrod the fishing is getting good. We caught over a hundred and culled out 2 limits plus a couple of Bass. Fish are hanging about 5 to 8' of water on wood structures and stumps. They seem to favor Umbrella tubes , Purple sparkle and Chartruse on a 1/8 oz leadhead. No slabs but plenty of good filleting size Crappie.

Hey Nimrod; Nice ones! Your catchin e'm on the umbrella's cause their eating bigger shad. Are there any creeks feeding your lake? If so go up one and fish it the bigger slabs may be there.

Default While youre taking picture of the catch it'd help

While youre taking picture of the catch it'd help some of us new crappie fishermen if you also included a picture of your bait..Seriously , I cant but rarely catch a crappie and been throwing everything I can think of at'em. I'd immediately truck down to the baitshop and circulate some money if I knew 'zactly whats working for you......

    Will this work ?

I'm using Southern Pro ''Umbrella Tubes with a 1/8 oz leadhead inside'' NOTE: BETTER LUBE THE LEADHEAD BEFORE TRYING TO INSERT INTO TUBE.
