Prayers requested for Slabbandit's Dad

Slabbandit's Dad does'nt get out much taking care of his blind ,bed ridden wife. His son stayed with her so he could go fishing today. Thing is he fell at the COE park at Carter Cove today.The fish cleanning station has not been properly maintaned and algea grows on the concrete. Afraid he has a nasty cut on his head and possiable broken arm. This was totally uncalled for as there have been complaints to the Corps and park keeper. Let's pray that he is not hurt too bad.

I wish we had a private pond around here for older folks to fish at. I hear so many of them talk about there days gone by and would like to catch one more... Nothing local here to fill the bill.

I always try to take time out to see that some old folks around here get to go. I talked to his son and this was our second trip this summer. He had a blast, said had not been able to fish since his wife fell ill several years ago. I have made it possiable for several older folks to go even when we had to assist them getting in the boat. From ones unable to get in alone to Cancer patients. Mr. Larch , who just needed a break and needed someone to care for his wife a few hours. I ''NIMROD'' ain't to far from being an OF now.
