    Default Flyovers

I know several of you live in an area where you see a lot of US Airforce planes fly over....but we don't and Mrs JJ could hardly fish and keep her mind on that for watching these fly over several times - it makes me proud of the service men and women who serve our country. Thank You! oh and anyone tell what kind of plane you think these are? We also saw a Apache Helicopter but the fly over was too quick to get a picture.

Awesome sight, ain't it! Back in the 80's, I worked for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. Word would spread like wildfire when aircraft came in. That's where I got to see the Blue Angels, a Harrier and a few other cool sights.

Seems they fly them out before and after the steath is flying around. Cool plane and very fast. Nice pictures. I grew up on a farm about 5 miles south of WAFB so we got to see alot of flyovers.

It's the A-10 Thunderbolt (Warthog) has a 30mm cannon on the front of the plane that can turn a tank into swiss cheese, it also carries missiles. Went to the base last year with my daughter's class trip and she got to sit inside one of these bad boys. During the gulf war one plane knocked out I think it was 42 Iraq tanks in just a few days, I forgot the pilot's name but he was all over CNN.

Windsor has daily flyovers, everytime I hear one I just have to look up and see which one it is.

Warthog, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of that bad boy.

That Warthog has a distinctive WHINE to the engine, even at upper altitude you can hear it,,,,,,,,,, the last sound a lot of tanks heard over the years.

saw an A-10 at a show last year-I don,t know what its called but he "tail walked"it

Made a high speed low level pass, then pointed the nose almost verticle yet the plane continued straight and level-awesome as the kids say!!
