Unhappy Have you huggged your Mom today?

This may not be the right spot for this post but it's where I thought it would be seen the most.

24 hours ago I was in Louisville at Norton Hospital saying goodbye to my mother.

Happened quick! What started out as my sister tell'n me "we got a little problem & we need to run some test", turned into "you better hurry up and get here if you wanta say goodbye!"

She would have celibrated her 71st BD the 15th of this month.

I won't go into all the details but it's not the way you want to see a loved one go. We had to make the call to forego further efforts. There was absolutly a 0% chance she would ever recover. Tuffest call I've ever had to make, but I know in my heart it was the right one.

So in closing. If you've been putting off hug'n your mom or haven't told here you love her lately, don't put it off. You might not get the chance.

In case you haven't guessed, I was kinda a mama's boy.

    Tuff day! Tuff, Tuff day!

My heart goes out to you and your family. I can't begin to imagine a world without my mom in it. We lost my dad suddenly when I was nine and my stepdad when I was 29. My mom has been through so much herself but she has always been the source of my strength.

A great question for those with living mothers. There's only one for
each of us. Very sorry to hear of her passing...and understand the deep
    feeling of loss.

I am sorry to hear that, Wiskers. Mom is not only my mom but also my closest friend. I'm going to call her right now. Again, sorry to hear this but thank you for sharing.

We are so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our prayers. I can't imagine losing my mom, I lost my Grandmother last year and she was more of a mother to me. Since she passed away it has brought me and my mom closer. Deeply Deeply sorry.
