    Default Jon Boating for fish...pics

Well, got all the necessary parts installed. Brenda can now drive the Jon boat with ease. She has the TM figured out and the sonar figured out. We are now working on the GPS. She is struggling. We getting there.

We managed to land about a dozen 11-12 inch fish yesterday. Water temp about 79 degrees F. The fish were hanging tight to brush and the fish were pushing up on the minnows or moving the baid sidewards. No hard bites. Fish were taken in 12 foot water, near bottom. No luck with jigs. Brenda beat me with her bobber rigs.:o I was using the Big Bite jighead with a minner.

Put out about a dozen (that's about 12) brushpiles. Spent some time with the TVA authorities in Paris. Met the TVA police.

Here are pics of the TM rig.

When I think of john boat fishing I'm used to a 12 ft'er with a sculling paddle. Oh how times are a changin.

I've had this boat since 1962. I still got a sculling paddle, but I prefer electricity.

Looks good. I think it looks much cleaner installed than I was expecting. Good job Cane.

I haven't tied it down yet. It is laying loose in the boat.

That's awesome, CP. Where do you mount the chains? What brand of GPS is that? I'm considering a permanent mounted GPS instead of a handheld, I must be twenty years behind your technology! But, I do fish out of a "rigged out" jon.
