Fished yesterday with my buddy Chad, got there at 6:30 there were 5 boats, left at 4 and there were over 100, hard to believe any fish are ever caught there. Anyway, started out fishing with minnows and trolling some jigs. Caught a 5 pound bass full of eggs, let her go, BTW that made my day. Ended up catching 2 crappie trolling on minnow like jigs. Caught 8 bass biggest was the one that I let go. We released all females and kept 3 males and the two crappie. The bass bite was steady, they were mixed in channels and in the shallows. Caught most of them on live minnows, but the watermelon brush hog plastic they could not resist. Will be going somewhere else in search of the might Speckle Fish thsi weekend.
