Nothing to Report
Well, I said I would post my results, so here goes.
Fished about 5 hours Thursday in the Chattooga River arm. Water temp was around 50 deg when I got there, and warmed up to high 50's by afternoon. Lake level appears to be at or near full pool. Had absolutely no luck at all.
Tried jigs and live bait at depths of about 4 ft down to 12 ft. Fished river channel ledges, flats, and even tried some shallow blowdowns. My only guess is that the water was still too muddy from the big rains earlier in the week. There was also a lot of trash (leaves, wood, etc) still floating down the lake.
Don't let my report discourage you. Heck, for all I know, someone else may have killed em yesterday, but the few other boats I spoke with had results similar to mine. In any event, I'm sure the good fishing will be back soon. We just need a few days of stable weather, which looks like we will have starting Sunday. Good luck, and let us know how ya did.

Still a lot of boats fishing. Wed. & Thursday was good over there trolling-saw several boats fishing minnows on front of bay. Most of the fish that we caught had moved back out and was holding around 14 ft. due to the front and cold nights but they had split tails and several had bloody tails.......

ok ya lost me on bloody tails??

Think maybe someone is trying to say that the fish are fanning beds. That will surely split and bloody the tails.
