Thread: need update of little river

gonna be fishing out of jrs marina next four days. anyone heard anything about little river area yet? any suggestions greatly appreciated. tks

We fished weiss this past weekend. not a single boat put in at jr's fri, sat, or sun. I rode up there saturday after tournament, and not a single boat in little river. Probally a couple of weeks yet before they turn on there.

dirtdobber I roomed next to ya'll that weekend. We met. sun I put in at JRs fished spring creek caught 2, and that was it. Water temp 46 out front and 47.7 father back, with color but fish came out front, rough 3 days.

I was certainly humbled last weekend. Never been to weiss and only caught 13 in three days. Mother nature can mess with everything you know and try to throw at them. Oh well there hopefully is next time. Nice meeting you HarleyRider.

as bad as the 2 1/2 42 fish days were, to top it off I was at JRs sunday after another bad day fishing, and saw Jasons client thanking him for the greatest day of fishing he had ever had, looked in his truck and he had 3 five gallon buckets full of slabs. It will make you wonder if u can fish, I'm thinking tracking devise in Jasons boat for the tough days..

When I win the lottery I am going to buy a house near jr's and follow Jason everyday for a year. Probally will need a gps on his boat as I am sure he will get annoyed pretty fast and start slipping me!!!!! I asked him on Sat how he did and he said he caght 20 fish in one 150-175 yd pass. I said where were you fishing? He said on the lake!!! I just walked off laughing. When you got it you got it!!!!

Don't think bad of yourself. I've been watching that joker catch fish like crazy since he was 12 years old. It's been fun to have watched him all these years be so amazing at figuring out how to catch them consistantly and still remember him standing on the pier everyday after getting off the bus. He would be waiting on his daddy to come in from his guide trip so he could get the boat and go out till dark. Bad thing was, he a lot of times caught more than his daddy had all day. JR would just shake his head and claim he taught him everything.

I did catch about 30 and went home with 23 on Sat. Probabley would had been more if the wind was not around

One way to find out some of Jason's secrets would be to hire him. Lots of folks that don't have time to go find the fish have done this.

Jason is the best I have ever seen. we have gotten way off the subject that Burrisrog has asked. Sorry Burrisrog hope you catch them all on your trip.
