Thread: jrs jiggs vs southern pro grubs.

I would say, both have their times. Which one is better? Or are they just variations of classics just being pushed.

My opinion, both can shine.

I have fished both southern pro grubs and jrs jigs. I think they both catch fish but I like the southern pro grubs much better. I exclusively used southern pro grubs last spring and limited out almost every day for a week. I have caught quite a few fish on jrs jigs but think they are mainly a local bait that is marketed through the many guides that work out of jrs marina. Just my opinion. I own about every color and size of both but plan on using the grubs again this spring when I finally get down there.

In my limited experience, I second Castle's post 100%. Southern Pro grubs are a LOT less expensive too! It seems to come down to being more about depth control and speed - with an appropriate color - that it does brand.

I Think Its All In The Jig You Have Confidence In. If You Fish A Jig You Have Confidence In, In A Size Color, And Depth Where The Crappie Are. Then You Can Catch Them On A Lot Of Different Jigs. On Any Given Day Any Color May Work Best.
