Monday, we caught 11 nice ones and a couple of friends caught 29. Fishing 7 or 8 feet of water, about 3 foot deep. Fished above the millfoil using a weighted cork and panfish assasins.

    Default Guntersville slabs

Some friends of mine have told me they were catching some very nice fish in the area of Widows Creek steam plant. Two weeks though fishing will be quite different. I would try some shallow bays near creek channels.

Default Heading to Guntersville March 30

I'm heading that way from Indiana March 30. Staying on Buck Island. Samian is coming in a couple of weeks. Let's keep those fishing reports coming in. Are there any Crappie guides on the lake?

AS far as "crappie guides' you might call the Guntersville C of Commerce or Waterfront Grocery on hiway 79.There a lot of good fisherman on the site that know Gville pretty good but i do not personally know any guides. Good luck on that one.

Thanks for the info on the guides. I have seen the name Lakefront Grocery on other posts concerning fishing on Lake Guntersville. I will need to visit that store while I am down there.

The last time I fished a tournament there it was won in south sauty creek. we fished under the bridge to the right theres a old bridge pileing or something. Also in channel past bridge heading towards back of cove. As you come out from under the bridge head at a 45 degree angle to left, meaning a hard left will run you right along the highway go half way between straight and the highway till you intersect the channel work it 50 yards to and away from the direction of the bridge. Youll find brush and stumps. I would think that the rocks along the highway would have spawning fish to. That channel is where it was won. If ya do good let me know. Ill be at weiss but I might come up there also if i do thats the area im going to go.
