Terry is the nicest guy you'll ever want to meet and a wealth of knowledge about fishing Weiss. He can put you on 'numbers' of keepers, or 'quality' crappie. Or both! In any event, you will get your money's worth.

Send me a PM if you want more 'satisfied customer' info.

I know a couple more if you are interested. I just found the forums today, but have been fishing Weiss for 30-35 years.

Good luck finding one for a weekend in April. Those guys are usually booked up for the month of April several months in advance. You can call Jrs marina and see if they have someone available. Sometimes they have cancellations. We went out with Joe Green from there last year the first week of March and he got us our limit and we learned quite a lot about trolling.

We have went out with Joe Green and Also with LLoyd Hill out of JR's and had a blast. Opie13 is right about late booking but call and they will bend over backward to help you.

    Default Guides

    Check out this website:

    http://www.lakeweissguide.com/536.html

That page has all the guides on Lake Weiss. I have fished with 2 of the guys listed on that page and have never been disappointed. I've said it many times before, hiring a guide is the #1 thing a novice fisherman can do. You'll learn more with a guide in 1 day than you can figure out in 2 years of fishing by yourself. To me, I look it as a $250 fishing lesson. I would fish the days after going out with the guide but I never went back to the places they took me. I didn't want to steal their spots. I applied what they taught me to other spots that were similar and it helped a great deal.
