Thread: Pond or Lake record

Crappie are hard to grow big in small lakes. I've fished more small lakes that I can count and most want come close to what you can catch in large lakes. It's easier fishing no doubt but the size is not there most of the time.

I think it IS different, but I don't really care if there are separate record categories. The fact that where they were caught is listed in the record book is enough for me.

And, probably the biggest crappie I've ever seen came out of a small farm pond. One of my best friends caught it while we were in high school. It weighed 4 lb 12 oz, I believe, and I'll bet it's still hanging on his wall.
