    Default Wheeler water ?


    Will they pull the water back down??stopped by today and the water was way up i my spot.always do better when the water is down. Just wondering

    I checked water level online today and it said 553 and falling but when I got to the lake it was full pool....someone needs to tell TVA they forgot to pull the plug.

    I fished wheeler yesterday. The water was four feet higher than the last time I was there. And I didn't catch one crappie.

    Stopped at the Rockhouse Pump station on Wheeler and water is down 2' from Friday. Still has a ways to go to get back into shape. THey are pulling 180L CFS!

    IF we get all the rain expected this week starting tomorrow, not sure there will be much of a draw down until there is a long break of no big rain, although TVA is trying

    I think a 10 year old in Canada throws a dart at a chart and that's how TVA updates their generation or water release schedule. They seem to never "pull" as much water as they say they are going to pull and unless the lake is at full pool, dead even the lake level estimates are rarely correct. Maybe TV meteorologists are the ones that supply the info. They seem to be right about 1 day out of 10.

    Don't forget to look at the inflow vs outflow portion of the info not just the levels of the lake. That will give you a good idea of how much water is moving.
