There are 3 good areas creeks within a mile ore two by water, Cowan is always good, spring creek first creek up river on the right of Cowan , then I call it 3 mile just above spring on the right, only thing coming out of Cowan there is a huge ridge that runs in the mouth of Cowan and spring its marked just be careful good water either side. The little creek below Cowan on the other side of the paddle boat ought to be on fire! Ive done well starting just out of the ramp at Cowan the creek runs on the left side (same side as ramp) loads of brush out in front of all most every dock. You can troll that side maybe a mile up the creek. The other side is good too with a finger creek that's good too. The creek below paddle boat big road bed at the mouth start on right side going in loads of brush in front of a lot of the docks there too! Make sure your rods are secure you'll hang up in the brush. There is a circle of standing timber in the middle just inside the mouth . I've had crappie in there hit a spinner bait.

If you don't know the lake you need to be very careful especially going to 3 mile creek. It used to be one of my favorite places but I have not done much good in there the last few yrs. Some of us locals will be available to help you guys out. Fishing should be good all over the lake by that time. Crappieflopper, myself and other locals should be able to point you in the right direction. I want us to have a great camp with everyone enjoying themselves and not breaking anything
Centerliner thanked you for this post
