I mainly fish the west side of the delta but haven't fished much lately due to weather and back issues. I did manage to get out from Mt Vernon yesterday and catch some pushing jigs. Check out my other response to a post I made this morning about the delta. August is usually a tough month for me but all the creeks and and lakes off the Tensaw are good to fish. Look for deeper water this time of year especially deep structure.

There probably is but I never hear of anyone catching perch down there. Every one around that area that I know of usually fishes on the east side or up Mt Vernon and McIntosh areas
